Latet: standing by Holocaust survivors in Israel
Latet is an organization that helps disadvantaged Israelis. Since 2007, the Foundation has supported this group, which comes to the aid of needy Holocaust survivors in Israel.
The Foundation supports the "Aid for Life" program, which:
- Distributes food baskets,
- Provides vouchers to purchase medicine,
- Offers emergency aid to people in the most difficult situations.
The program helps nearly 800 needy Holocaust survivors. Volunteers regularly visit them and help them complete administrative procedures to obtain health and social services.
During the holidays, Latet organizes friendly meals bringing Holocaust survivors and volunteers together. In 2013, for example, 250 survivors attended a Passover Seder.
