Jerusalem: daily meals for Holocaust survivors

Every day, Carmei Haïr, a humanitarian organization in Jerusalem, offers meals to low-income people, especially Holocaust survivors.
A downtown restaurant near the Mahane Yehuda market prepares over 1,000 meals a day. Aware that those needing its help might feel uncomfortable, Carmei Haïr has given this place the look of a restaurant like any other. It also offers clothing at reduced prices.
The Foundation for the Memory of the Shoah funds the daily delivery of 200 meals to Holocaust survivors living in nursing homes in Kiryat Yovel and Ramot.
