Israel: Baskets of Purim for Shoah Survivors

    Friday 10 March 2017
    Texte

On the occasion of Pourim's Feast of Purim, 38 students from the volonteer programm run by the Foundation for the Benefit of Holocaust Victims in Israel made 100 food baskets, hand-delivered to survivors of the Holocaust in Tel Aviv, Givatayim, Ramat-Gan, Haifa and Beersheba.

Each basket contained everyday consumer products (oil, sugar, flour, pasta...) and, as tradition dictates, sweets.

The survivors, on modest incomes and often faced with loneliness and isolation, were able to enjoy this popular celebration in Israel in good company.
