48 lycéens d'Angers sur les traces de la jeune Régina Zwetschkenbaum

Since 1995, second-to-last year students at the Lycée Henri-Bergson in Angers have participated in a year-long educational project on the Holocaust and the Resistance. This year’s theme was "Historical and Memorial Sites of the Resistance, the Holocaust and the Gypsy Genocide, from Anjou to Krakow". In  2014, they followed in the deportees’ footsteps to Poland.

L’enfant et la Shoah-Yad Layeled France offers an exhibition-workshop focusing on Jewish children in Paris during the Second World War. This educational tool allows primary school teachers to approach the history of the Holocaust through rescue stories while taking the children’s sensitivity into account.

Séminaire - Enseigner l’histoire des génocides et des violences de masse : un point d’entrée pour l’éducation à la paix

UNESCO partners with the National Commission of Senegal to UNESCO to organize a training seminar for high-level civil servants of ministries of education of Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Gambia, Mali, Niger and Senegal. A public conference will take place before the seminar.

Un projet éducatif européen autour de l’histoire du convoi 77

The European project Convoi 77 intends to piece together the personal life story of each of the 1321 deportees of the last large convoy that left from Drancy to Auschwitz on July 31, 1944, by sending students from the 37 countries the deportees were from on their traces.

Semaine de l’Histoire et de la Mémoire à Cluny

On February 15, 1944, Marie-Louise Zimberlin, a teacher at the Lycée “La Prat’s” in Cluny, was arrested in the middle of class for her Resistance activities. On February 27, the Polish Jewish Oferman-Rotbart was arrested in Cluny. A neighbor saved the youngest child, Claudine. Forty students at the Lycée La Prat’s focused on these emblematic destinies as part of an educational project for History and Memory and Week in Cluny.

Le Cabaret Interdit, aborder l'enseignement de la Shoah par la musique

The Orchestre Symphonique de Bretagne and the "Classe d’O" project proposed using music to address the Holocaust in primary schools. Pupils in Pleudihen-sur-Rance (Brittany) participated in the production of Le Cabaret Interdit, a show that paid homage to composers who fell victim to Nazism.

Histoire et mémoire de la Shoah dans l'académie de Caen

Throughout the school year, students and apprentices at five Normandy high schools participated in a Holocaust education program. In January, the Shoah Memorial organized a journey to Auschwitz-Birkenau, the keynote of this program launched by the Basse-Normandie region in partnership with the Caen Board of Education.

This material brings together numerous resources for teachers and students alike. The DVD-Rom, as a teaching tool, is suitable for several school age groups. The box set contains three DVDs including documentaries, sequenced witness accounts, as well as a digital booklet.

Shoah - Mémoire Demain, un outil de transmission innovant

A group of people who survived Auschwitz and Birkenau, return to the main extermination and concentration camp set up by the Nazis. Produced by the Union of Auschwitz Deportees-France, this DVD-Rom displays 219 sequences of testimony. Computer-generated images, based on historical documents and the actual state of the buildings, bring us closer to the reality of the camps.
