International Holocaust Remembrance Day
Wed., 27 Jan. 2016 - January 27 marks the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the largest Nazi death camp. In 2005, the United Nations General Assembly designated this day as International Holocaust Remembrance Day, an annual day of commemoration to honor the victims of the Shoah. On this occasion, a series of events will take place at UN and UNESCO Headquarters respectively in New York and Paris. Continue

Deadline for applications : April 1st, 2016 - The Fondation pour la Mémoire de la Shoah, in partnership with the Institut Émilie du Châtelet, proposes a doctoral and a post-doctoral grant for young researchers writing on the history of Jewish women in France during WWII and the long after-war (1939 - end of the 1950s). Future Memories - a Survey on Memories of the 20th Century
Survey results - The Fondation pour la mémoire de la Shoah and the Fondation pour l’innovation politique wished to work together to identify the memories of the major events of the 20th century from which our present century will be formed. Over 31 000 young people from 31 countries were interviewed. The resultas of this international survey have been presented on 21 january 2015 in Paris. Continue
